End of Watch

SHOTGUN MODE REVIEW
(trying to catch up)

THE PITCH

WORTH
$$1/2

THE VIEWING

Found footage film or what?
This couldn't be a found footage flick because there are way too many unexplained camera shots in the movie.  Near the beginning the movie they were very good about explaining why we are seeing the movie in the shots that we are viewing it in... like most FFFs [found footage films].  The problem is that they weren't consistent to that.  In fact, near the end they abandoned their reasoning for all the on-screen footage all together.

That wasn't the only reason I didn't feel this movie but that was the most memorable.  Casting was part of it as well as some scenarios seemingly too improbable.  The story lacked something but I don't know what it is.... Perhaps they shouldn't have used Training Day as reference when promoting this movie.  The only thing similar about the two is they both involved the L.A Police.

Marginally worth watching... C+
